Abstract: This study explores the role of project evaluation in improving project outcomes, aiming to: 1) assess the effectiveness of different evaluation techniques, 2) evaluate the impact of regular evaluations on project success, and 3) recommend strategies for enhancing project evaluation practices. A survey design was utilized to collect data from project managers and evaluators. Using Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 345 respondents was determined, ensuring a 95% confidence level and a 5% margin of error. The study was conducted in the education sector in Enugu, where project evaluation is essential. The reliability coefficient score of the survey instrument was 0.89, indicating high reliability. Findings revealed that regular and thorough project evaluations, including formative and summative assessments, significantly enhance project outcomes by identifying areas for improvement and ensuring accountability. Recommendations include adopting standardized evaluation frameworks, providing training on evaluation techniques, and ensuring continuous feedback and improvement based on evaluation results.
